Still deciding on fall marathon

Yes, I’m still debating which fall marathon to run.  I don’t know why I’m having such a hard time with it.  When I chose the Flying Pig back in January, I had no problems making that decision.  I don’t know if it’s that I’m placing more pressure on myself as I want to better my [...]

Post-marathon thoughts

I got back from St. Louis on Wednesday.  My family and I went there right after the race.  I was worried about being sore from the car ride, but my body did okay. Walking a lot the two days afterwards was really helpful.  By Thursday, I was hardly sore at all.  I did wake up [...]

My first marathon experience was definitely a good one.  My parents arrived in town on Friday evening. We all headed to Cincinnati last Saturday, checked into the hotel, and then headed to the Expo. The Expo was very nice, though there were tons of people. There, I picked up my registration packet, chip time, and [...]

Race day is here!

This is it!  The time has come for the marathon.  Four months of a lot of training, hard work, and injuries comes down to hopefully 4 hours.  I’m very excited, though still incredibly nervous.  This is when you just want some sign that you know you are going to do well.  I guess all you [...]
