I find that stretching before a workout helps to loosen up my muscles and stretching after a workout helps prevent lactic acid build up, which is the cause of muscle soreness the next day. You may still be sore the next day, but I think stretching after a workout definitely helps reduce the soreness.

This isnot a condition. It happens to everyone if they exercise enough. For some reason, however, it is more prevalent in females than in males.

Applepc, thanks so much for your comments. I love the name "Tovah" too. It's different and has meaning.

It's great your GSD has become your running partner. I'm hoping Tovah will become a part-time running partner when she is older.

How absolutely adorable! How lucky you are. I got my German Shepherd pup Dec. 2008 and during the course of the year plus I've had him, he has become my running partner. We go walking/jogging during the week at 5:30AM and do our long run on Saturdays. I love the name "Tovah". Hope everything works out great for pup and owner.

I am so glad to see so many others with the same condition
after a run my stomach feels like ice. But what I do not see is the explanation just a few thoughts.

Keep Running

Wow - 14 inches. That took courage! I cut mine at little more gradual pace... Glad to hear you are happy with the new length. And hey - you can still tie it back ; )

PS.
Thanks for stopping my site

Elle, yeah, I agree with you. I thought about sending it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths as well. If I had only decided to do 8 inches, then I would have.

Hmm, toupee maker, I'm sure he'd be happy with your hair.
